Meditation pavilion in the Casa gardens
Package 1 - Full Tour - We do most of the work
With this package we will do the following for you:
- A copy of The Guidebook to John of God, packed with information about John of God, the Casa and how to prepare for your healing journey.
- Explanation of the required passport and Brazilian visa process
- Pre-departure checklist
- Pousada (motel/hotel) reservations and payment
- 11-12 nights lodging in Abadiania, private room with a bathroom (at the end of the tour some choose to leave Friday night, others leave Saturday)
- Three meals a day at your pousada
- You will be met upon arrival at the airport in Brasilia. Your taxi to Abadiania will be prearranged. We pay the taxi fare if you arrive the first Monday of the tour, during morning hours. If you arrive at a different time, we will arrange your taxi pickup and you pay the $R180 (Brazilian currency. You can pay the current US equivalent) fee for the hour and a half ride to Abadiania.
- Assistance with currency exchange
- Orientation sessions prior to your first meeting with John of God to answer questions
- Walk through the Casa and surrounding buildings to become familiar with its layout the day before your first session.
- Guidance and instructions regarding Casa procedures and protocols
- Arrangements for an English translator at the Casa when seeing John of God
- Assistance in attending sessions with John of God and explaining his responses to your questions
- Guided group visit by taxi to and from the sacred waterfall one time
- Private consultations and group gatherings to discuss your experiences, concerns and healing progress
Countryside beyond the Casa and the road to the sacred waterfall.
You are responsible for:
- Your Airfare
- Ground transportation when not with the group
- Personal Travel/Medical Insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be covered if you purchase your travel insurance within 14 days after paying for your airline tickets. Ask your travel insurance agency.
- Passport and visa fees
- Bottled water, and any meals away from the pousada
- Crystal bed treatments
- Herb Prescriptions
- Laundry service at pousada
- Personal shopping/crystals
- Tips for maids/cooks at pousada (appreciated, but not required)
- Any donation amount you choose to give
Pousadas
We stay at a nice, clean pousada (motel/hotel), which is quiet and comfortable, not far from the Casa. Each room has a private bathroom with shower. Laundry service is available. Internet access and computer are available. The meals are excellent, with lots of delicious fresh fruits and vegetables and plenty of variety for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans.
Tour Fees
The fee for a fully-guided 12-day tour is $2000 per adult and $1200 per child under age 13. You may pay by check or on this site by credit card or PayPal.
Package 2 - Guiding You Solely in Abadiania
We live in Abadiania half the year. When we are residing there we offer this second option.
This method is for you to do ALL the "getting there" work on your own, including reserving and paying for your pousada room, and simply book us well prior to your arrival, to guide you once you get to Abadiania.
The Casa has set the price of $US350 a week for guides
who live in Abadiania, which includes a thorough
explanation visit with you on Tuesday, orientation at
the Casa and personal, individual guidance and support
on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with translators, when
you see John of God and as you follow his directives.
The second week fee is the same rate. Because we work as
a team, you are getting two guides for the price of one!
During your stay you have up to 6 opportunities each
week to pass by John of God. You will receive guidance
about what resources the Casa has to offer in your
physical healing process as well as your growth on the emotional,
mental and spiritual levels. Utilizing us as guides
allows you to remain focused on your healing and inner
work.
We will be living in Abadiania from the first of
October, 2011 until the first of March, 2012.
The fee for Guiding You Solely in Abadiania is $700 per person. You may pay by check or on this site by credit card or PayPal.
